Questa è solo una parte dei lavori e delle modifiche che stiamo apportando al Nightster di un nostro amico. Desiderava qualcosa che andasse un po' fuori dagli schemi, qualcosa di nuovo. E si è fidato di noi dandoci carta bianca. Operation Mindcrime come diceva una vecchia canzone dei Queensryche. Ci siamo divertiti a smembrare la povera XL1200N del 2008 dalla forcella alla targa. Qualche modifica estetica e qualche miglioria nell'assetto e nella performance. Il portatarga è fatto a mano da Crazyoils, con l'aggiunta di luci a LED al posto delle viti superiori. Fili a scomparsa e tutto rigorosamente nero opaco. Ammortizzatori posteriori all black della Progressive Suspension da 11". Ora è decisamente un rigido! Riposizionamento della centralina a fianco della batteria. Un piccolo trucchetto per pulire il parafango ed il sottosella. Filtro aria Hypercharger della Kuryakyn opportunamente modificato. Manubrio stretto e cablaggio interno. Manopole Renthal della Performance Machine e leve sforacchiate. Molle forcella della Progressive Suspension per migliorare frenata ed tenuta i strada. Il portastrumenti ed il faro originali sono spariti per lasciare spazio ad un Bates a montaggio laterale e sulle staffe di questo due belle freccine mini bullet. Il tutto anche in questo caso rigorosamente nero opaco. Per finire questa prima parte di modifiche abbiamo costruito da zero un portastrumento laterale che si abbinasse al contesto della moto. Plasmare e saldare il freddo metallo è molto più gratificante che non montare pezzi già fatti da qualcun altro. Qui si creano pezzi unici ed assolutamente personali. A breve i nuovi sviluppi, perchè il bello deve ancora arrivare...

This is the first part of a nice work for a friend of us. He's got a 2008 XL1200N Nightster and wanted to change the look and style of it. He wanted something more aggressive but different from the bikes that you see everyday in the streets or on line. So he trusted us and gave us complete freedom of choice. I love to look at a bike and see what can be done. I try to imagine it in different ways. Then I start disassembling everything from the licence plate to the front fender and then I make my changes. Brand new licence plate support handmade by Crazyoils with Kuryakyn LED bolts. Rear 11" black shocks by Progressive Suspension. We relocated the ECM on the side of the battery tray to clean the rear fender and underseat. The air cleaner is a modified Hypercharger by Kuryakyn. The handlebar is a bit shorter with internal wiring, Performance Machine Renthal grips and drilled levers. Everything has been powdercoated in flat black and the same is for the Bates side mounted headlight with mini bullet turn signals on the brackets. The front fork now has new springs by Progressive Suspension. And we created a brand new speedo bracket to be mounted on the engine cylinder bolts. This is something very unique and we can't wait to see the bike finished. Of course there is a lot more to come.
