CRAZYOILS / RACER - EICMA 2013

 

Grazie alla collaborazione con Racer di Rivolta Motociclette la mia Essen'Ass ha avuto la possibilità di partecipare ad EICMA 2013. La special firmata Crazyoils è stata costriuta per celebrare i 55 anni di attività della ditta americana S&S Cycles ma allo stesso tempo è stata dotata di moltissimi dettagli italiani di grande qualità. Tra questi la scocca che forma serbatoio e sella in vetroresina disegnata dal marchio milanese Racer. Quindi un ringraziamento va ad Andrea Rivolta che ha espressamente richiesto la presenza della special Crazyoils al suo stand ed all'amico fotografo Federico Sgarbossa per le belle foto fornite.

Since Crazyoils has been developing a friendly partnership with the Italian brand Racer by Rivolta Motociclette, the Crazyoils special Essen'Ass has got the opportunity to attend the EICMA 2013. The bike has been built to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the famous American manufacturer S&S Cycles, but at the same time it displays some of the best accessories available on the market, which most of them are proudly made in Italy. One of them is the fiberglass gas tank designed by the Milan based Racer. So a special thanks goes to Andrea Rivolta that personally requested to have the Crazyoils special bike displayed at his booth and to the photographer and friend Federico Sgarbossa for the nice pics.

I "stole" the pics from the Harleyvillage web site where you can find a full and detailed reportage on the Rombo di Tuono event. Unfortunately I haven't been able to take some nice pics of my second bagger. Those of you who have seen it in the past will notice the new improvements. Cool!

ROMBO DI TUONO 2012

Volete sapere come è andato il Robo di Tuono? Benissimo! Grande affluenza di pubblico, gran divertimento, nuovi fantastici amici. Cosa si può volere di più? Sono arrivato ultimo di due (o forse si dice secondo) al KICK (Kampionato Italiano Kostruttori Kustom). Per ovvie ragioni che non sto a spiegarvi non poteva essere diversamente (hahaha). Ma la cosa che più mi importava era il diploma di Associate Judge, conferitomi davanti a tutti dal Presidente della IMBBA (International Master Bike Builders Association) Jeff Starke. Il mio percorso di crescita prosegue e mi dà grande soddisfazione. C'è tantissimo da imparare da tutti quanti e molto da migliorare. Ma la cosa mi stimola e mi entusiasma. Devo ringraziare le mie ragazze Giulia e Paola che mi hanno sopportato, i miei amici Albi, Joe e Rudy, e poi Dani e Nunzia e i loro amici, Marco e Ambrogio, e Francesco, il miglio Bike Builder Siciliano, e Jeff, Corrado, Fabrizio, Derk e Jacob di Bad Dad, e tutti quelli che ho conosciuto e che in qualche piccolo modo, anche solo con un sorriso o una stretta di mano sostengono i miei sforzi e la mia missione. Non per ultima la mia famiglia che ho trascurato per finire le moto in tempo. Pazienza, stiamo costruendo il futuro. Ancora una volta un'esperienza indimenticabile.

Do you want to know how the Rombo di Tuono show was? Simply great! Lots of people came to see my bikes, I had fun and met new great friends. What else could I ask for? I came in last at the bike show in the Bagger class. Actually we were only two competing so that means second place, but I already knew I couldn't do better than that for obvious reasons that I do not want to explain. Anyway I don't really care. I was there for another reason. I finally got certified as Associate Judge by Jeff Starke, President of IMBBA (International Master Bike Builders Association). So that means a lot to me. Another great step in my career as a Judge and a Bike Builder. I really had a great time and learnt a lot. And there is always so much to learn. This thing makes me proud and happy and excited to do better and better everyday. I have to thank my girls Giulia and Paola for keeping me up, my great friends Albi, Joe and Rudy and then Dani and Nunzia and all their friends, Marco and Ambrogio, and Francesco, the great Sicilian Bike Builder, Jeff, Corrado, Fabrizio, Derk and Jacob of Bad Dad Custom Motorcycles, and all the people that supported me with a smile or a hand shake. That means a lot to me. Thank you all. Last but not least my dear Family that I missed for the past two weeks because I had to finish the bikes in time. Be patient, I'm building our future. Once again it has been a great experience that I'll never forget.

CRAZYOILS' HEAVEN

Crazyoils si trasferisce in Paradiso. Ovvero nella nuova sede a nove metri d'altezza da dove era prima. Un nuovo spazio più ampio dove poter tenere accessori, attrezzi, ed un piccolo ufficio. Ed ovviamente le moto degli amici, che vengono innalzate tramite uno speciale carrello elevatore, il Crazyoils Elevator, che è stato opportunamente modificato insieme a The Creech nel più classico stile dell'A-Team.

Crazyoils goes to Heaven. That's to say that we are moving to our new location, 30 feet above the ground. There will be a nice open space where to keep parts and accessories, tools and of course our friends' bikes that will be raised up there with a custom elevator. Yes, me and The Creech created the Crazyoils Elevator, remembering the good welding techniques of the A-Team.

Mentre tutti gli amici di Crazyoils sono a divertirsi al Faaker in Austria, noi stiamo preparandoci per uno degli appuntamenti più importanti dell'anno: il Rombo di Tuono.

While all the Crazyoils' friends are partying at the Faaker in Austria, we are stuck here fixing the bikes for one of the most important events of the year: the Rombo di Tuono.

MATRIMONIO - WEDDING

Cosa c'è di meglio che sposarsi e trovarsi fuori dalla chiesa la propria moto? E' il regalo che abbiamo fatto al nostro amico Lorenzo che la settimana scorsa ha deciso di convolare senza dire nulla a nessuno. Quindi noi senza dirgli nulla lo abbiamo reso un po' più felice nel giorno più bello della sua vita. Ecco a cosa servono gli amici. Buona Strada Vale e Lorenzo!

Getting married and finding your bike out of the church waiting for you. What else can you wish? This is the present we gave to our dear friend Lorenzo. Last week he decided to get married without saying anything to his friends. Well we took his bike to his weeding without saying anything to him. That's what real friendship means in the best day of you life. Check out their smiles!

CRAZYOILS RUN JUNE 2012

Breve giretto domenicale con gli amici di Crazyoils. Passo del San Bernardino, Splugenpass, e ritorno. Poca roba, ma la giornata è stata splendida, con un cielo terso, un bel sole caldo, splendidi paesaggi ed compagnia ottima. Cosa si può volere di più?

We took a short trip up on the mountains with a few friends. San Bernardino Pass, Splugenpass and back home. Not much, but we had a great day, with clear blue skies, hot sunshine, splendid landscapes and great company. What else can you wish for?

ITALIAN MOTORCYCLE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012 - REGGIO EMILIA 25-27/05/2012

Si è appena concluso a Reggio Emila l'America's Fun, evento dedicato a tutto ciò che riguarda il mondo americano. Tra le varie manifestazioni il bike show dell'Italian Motorcycle Championships organizzato dalla rivista Bikers Life. Devo ringraziare Carla di Bikers Life che ha insistito così tanto per farmi partecipare che alla fine ho ceduto e mi sono presentato con due bagger, guidate andata e ritorno. Direi che ne è valsa la pena visto che mi sono portato a casa primo e secondo posto nella categoria bagger con le rispettive "Asso di picche" e "Faith and  gasoline". Bello rientrare a casa dalla mia famiglia alla guida di una moto da primo premio a fianco a mio amico Joe in sella alla sua splendida moto. Due ore di strada e tante emozioni che mi sono passate per la testa. Un altro piccolo passo nella carriera di Crazyoils.

I just came back home from Reggio Emilia where there has been the America's Fun show, an event dedicated to everything American. One of the attractions was the bike show for the Italian Motorcycle Championships organized by the famous magazine Bikers Life. I have to thank Carla of Bikers Life for insisting on having me attending the show. It has been great to ride back home to my family on a show winner bike like "Asso di picche" (Ace of spades). Joe and his "Faith and gasoline" were next to me the whole time coming back home with a second place in the bagger class. Awesome! Sweet! Another small step in the Crazyoils career.
