Nei giorni scorsi ho aggiunto alla mia biblioteca questo ed altri due libri assolutamente incredibili. The American Motorcycle 1869 - 1914 di Stephen Wright è un volume che è stato pubblicato per la prima volta nel 2001 e da allora è divenuto un pezzo da collezione ed è assolutamente la bibbia del motociclismo americano ai suoi albori. Contiene centinaia di foto inedite e spettacolari che raffigurano i pionieri di questo sport quando le strade erano ancora piste sterrare e quando ogni uscita in moto era una vera avventura. Pensate che ci sono raffiguate più di 100 marche diverse di moto americane! Ed io che riesco forse a nominarne una decina! Se siete appassionati di vero vintage o se solo ne siete incuriositi, questo volume è assolutamente da avere.

In the past days I added this one and other two new volumes to my motorcycle library. Volume One of The American Motorcycle, 1869-1914 by Stephen Wright transports the reader back to a time long since vanished – when life was simple, the roads were uncrowded, and every ride was an adventure. Hundreds of spectacular black and white and color photographs, the majority of which have never been published before, evoke these times and enable the reader to follow the evolution of the American motorcycle during its most diverse period of development, 1869-1914. There are over 100 brands pictured. I can hardly name a dozen! If you're into vintage motorcycles or just curious these books are a must to have. Just ask me how.
