CR&S DUU, Signore e Signori! Mr. Crepaldi ed il suo Team non potevano creare alloggiamento migliore per il motore X-Wedge della S&S. Non vedo l'ora di vederla e rivederla all'Eicma a Novembre. Rispetto e stima per una moto che è già un'opera d'arte al MAD.

Ladies and Gentlemen... CR&S DUU! Mr Crepaldi and his Team couldn't find a better location for the S&S X-Wedge engine. Can't wait to see it at the Eicma in November. All my respect to this amazing piece of motorcycle art which is already part of the MAD collection.

ROMBO I TUONO

Giunto alla nona edizione, lo storico Rombo di Tuono resiste agli attacchi della concorrenza e si ripropone nella stessa data dei giorni 16 e 17 Ottobre e nella stessa provincia di Brescia a pochi chilometri dal KPS (Kustom People Show). E' ovvio che sarò presente anche qui, per non far torti a nessuno e per l'interesse nel conoscere ed esplorare questo nostro mondo custom pieno di lupi e di pecorelle smarrite.

At its 9th edition the Rombo di Tuono event will be hosted in the same dates and place of the KPS (Kustom People Show) only a few miles away. I have to attend both events because I belong to no sides. I'm just curious and love this crazy custom world full of wolves and lost sheep.

KUSTOM PEOPLE SHOW

Ormai penso sappiate tutti che nei giorni 16 e 17 Ottobre si terrà il Kustom People Show a Brescia. Evento nuovo, conteso, discusso. Chi ci andrà giudicherà in base alle proprie personali aspettative. Le foto sono un'anteprima dei personaggi e degli eventi ad esso legati. (Io vado solo per Roxy Rose ovviamente!).

On October 16th and 17th there will be the Kustom People Show in Brescia. It's a new event that made lots of people discuss in the past weeks. Who will go there will judge for himself. The pics show some of the VIPs that are going to attend. (Of course I'll go there only to see Roxy Rose!).

E' ritornata la FXCW Softail Rocker del mio amico per una nuova modifica. Ci tengo a precisare che questa moto è stata preparata in precedenza presso l'officina di Catino ed io mi sono solo limitato a fare qualche ritocco e qualche opportuna modifica. Questa volta abbiamo voluto sostituire il disco anteriore già flottante, ma usurato, e la pinza già quattro pistoni H-D con un sistema frenante della Discacciati con la quale abbiamo ormai instaurato un ottimo rapporto. Per l'esattezza abbiamo montato un disco flottante da 330mm con l'interno nero lucido ed una pinza a 6 pistoni. Il tutto corredato da un tubo freno Goodridge in maglia metallica rivestita. Beh, alla fine il risultato è uno spettacolo ed aggiunge punti alla bellezza spartana di questa Rocker, senza contare il fatto che la frenata è decisamente migliorata.

The FXCW Softail Rocker is back at Crazyoils for a new mod. I did some restyling in the past and now it was time to replace the front rotor and brake caliper. We decided to add a brand new Discacciati 330mm floating rotor and a 6 piston brake caliper. The brake line is a stainless steel one by Goodridge. At the end the result made us proud once again. The Rocker looks great and it brakes wonderfully. Thanks to all our friends at Discacciati.

E' ARRIVATO L'AUTUNNO - AUTUMN'S BACK

Le foglie ingialliscono ed ricomincia a fare freschino. Riesco comunque a trovare calore e colori se solo mi impegno un pochino.

KIT FANALE E TABELLA FREE SPIRITS PER XR1200 - FREE SPIRITS XR1200 HEADLIGHTS

La fase successiva di modifica all'XR1200 ha coinvolto l'impianto di illuminazione anteriore ed il frontalino che sono stati completamente sostituiti da un nuovissimo kit della Free Spirits opportunamente adattato e modificato. Il kit in sè è di ottima fattura e qualità e monta due faretti lenticolari alogeni omologati, ma la tabella che li dovrebbe racchiudere secondo noi era fin troppo larga ed andava a nascondere in qualche modo l'estetica dell'XR. Va bene per un portanumero  da trofeo, ma per una moto da città per un utilizzo quotidiano ci voleva un piccolo ritocco. Abbiamo così elaborato la tabella originale riducendone le dimensioni in modo da rendere visibili entrambe le piastre forcella e parte degli steli. Poi è stata sagomata, piegata e fresata con una serie di asole che lasciano posto ad una griglia metallica. Dietro a questa abbiamo riposizionato il clacson in origine montato sotto il canotto di sterzo. Per finire una bella verniciatura nera con filetto e griglia bianchi che si abbina alla livrea originale dell'XR. Un lavoretto semplice ma che ci ha dato tanta soddisfazione nel risultato finale.

The next step of works on the XR1200 was the front headlight. It has been replaced with a dual halogen kit by Free Spirits. It's a nice brand new kit, very well manufactured, that combines two halogen lamps on a metal plate supposedly used as a number plate on racing tracks. Anyway we decided the plate was too big, flat and empty for our friend's XR so we cut it here and there, made some adjustments and drilled some holes for a metal grill. Behind it we relocated the clacson origially placed under the frame. To complete the job we painted everything in black with a white stripe and grill. It's been a nice little work but we are so happy about the final result.

IMPIANTO BRAKING PER XR1200 - BRAKING ROTOR FOR XR1200

Finalmente XR1200 del nostro amico è finita, almeno per questo giro. Abbiamo montato un bell'impianto Braking posteriore composto da disco Wave, tubo areonautico e pastiglie sinterizzate. L'impianto anteriore, sempre della Braking, era già stato installato in precedenza presso un'altra officina. Questo lo va a completare nell'estetica e nella performance.

Finally the XR1200 of our friend is ready to hit the road. We installed a rear Braking Wave rotor combined with a Braking stainless steel brake line and Braking brake pads. This one completes the front Braking floating rotors in style and performance.

Tra i tanti accessori tra cui si può scegliere ho provato a prendere per curiosità queste nuovissime manopole Renthal della Performance Machine. Direi un ottimo prodotto a prima vista, in alluminio lavorato ricavato dal pieno e ricoperte con una speciale gomma antiscivolo. Chi le vuole?

I decided to take a chance and buy these brand new Renthal grips by Performance Machine. They look really nice. Made out of machined billet and covered with a special Renthal rubber. PM created another great product. Who's gonna get them first?
