Ieri ho fatto il primo vero giretto dell'anno, giusto per sciogliere il torpore invernale e far girare un po' di olio nel motore dell Sporty. Potrei definirlo Giro dei Tre Laghi, ma a modo mio. Mi sono trovato con il mio fedele compagno di viaggi Ale ed il suo Nightster alle 8 del mattino a Milano 2 e da qui siamo partiti sulla statale alla volta di Verona. Era week-end di Open Day ma perchè andare nelle affollate concessionarie milanesi quando posso andare a trovare i miei amici ed il mio Verona Chapter. H Paradise quindi, con le sue belle moto ed i suoi soci che partivano per un run di primavera al quale però non abbiamo partecipato, desiderosi di macinare un po' di chilometri senza stare legati ad una colonna di 120 moto dei soci del Chapter. Quindi dopo i saluti e gli abbracci siamo ripartiti. Il primo lago toccato è il Garda, in tutta la sua magnificenza, fin sù a Riva, dopo una pausa in un paesello sperduto ed una mega grigliata al sole. Da Riva cominciano i tornanti per dare un colpo con la coda dell'occhio al Lago di Tenno, affollato da un raduno di Ferrari. Non ci fermiamo e proseguiamo giù per valli tra montagne innevate fino a Tione di Trento. Da qui si ritorna verso la pianura a fianco del Lago d'Idro. Ancora un piccolo passo e scavalchiamo l'ultima catena montuosa per scollinare in alta Val Trompia e da qui giù fino a Brescia per riprendere la statale verso casa. Rientrati alle 20,30 dopo uno splendido tramonto, una giornata spettacolare e 444 chilometri stupendi. Grazie Ale per la compagnia.

Ok I admit it. This is too long to be translated. So I'll just tell you that last Sunday I had this great ride with a friend of mine, Ale and his Nightster. He follows me on these crazy trips that I try to do every now and then. This time I took the occasion of the H-D Open Day to ride to Verona to say hello to my old friends and see the Verona Chapter Italy leave for a Spring Run. We did not want to spend half of the beautiful sunny day in line with another 120 bikes, so we waved goodbye and left for our own run. We went up all the way along the Garda Lake and then up on the mountains to pass the small Tenno Lake. There was a Ferrary reunion so we went on to the next lake, Idro Lake. Finally we rode over one more pass to another valley and then back home with an amazing sunset. What a great day! What a great ride! 444 kilometers and this is only the beginning of the season.

SOTTOSELLA - UNDER SEAT COVER

Un paio di sottosella per una Sportster e per una Dyna ai quali sto lavorando. Sono in griglia metallica a fori e quadrifogli sagomata, verniciata e bordata con una guarnizione in gomma.

A presto anche i relativi attacchi.

These are two under seat covers that I'm building for a Sportster and a Dyna. They are made out of a steel plate with holes and clovers, molded, paited and refined with a U-shaped rubber gasket. Soon the pics of the brackets.

SIDE MOUNTED SPEEDOMETER

Questo è un altro piccolo dettaglio che ho aggiunto per coprire le spie di un portastrumento laterale creato tempo fa. Mi diverto a ricercare e plasmare nuovi materiali.

This is another little detail that I added to a side mounted speedo that I created a while ago. It's to cover part of the wiring. Just having some fun and molding new materials.

FLHRS & DISCACCIATI

Due piccoli lavoretti alla FLHRS di un amico. Dischi flottanti Discacciati e riposizionamento targa originale H-D. Nulla di tanto speciale ma, vi dirò, non ci sono tante Road King Custom bianche in giro e con questi dischi la frenata è notevolmente migliorata ed è un piacere andarci a spasso.

Two little things for a friend's FLHRS. Discacciati floating rotors and original H-D relocation licence plate kit. Not that much actually, but there aren't many white Road King Customs around and this one breakes greatly and it's a pleasure to ride.

DISCACCIATI FLOATING ROTORS

Arrivati ieri e domani li monto. Grandissima qualità del Made in Italy. Per anni li ho consigliati, insieme a bellissime pinze cromate, quando lavoravo in una concessionaria H-D . Ora finalmente posso avere lil piacere di montarli di persona. Presto anche sul mio Sportsterino. Andate a vedervi il sito Discacciati.

They got in yesterday and I'm going to install them tomorrow. The best quality Made in Italy. I suggested them for years, together with beautifully chromed brake calipers, when I used to work in a official H-D dealership. Now I have a chance to install them by myself. HARLEY-DAVIDSON ARCHIVE COLLECTION 1960-2010

Arrivato oggi insieme a Vibes e Biker Mon, questo nuovissimo ed interessantissimo libro giapponese che raccoglie tutti i modelli prodotti da mamma H-D dal 1960 al 2010. E' come avere in un colpo solo 50 anni di cataloghi Harley. Incredibile. Più tante foto storiche ed inedite. Da avere! Chiedetemi come. Unico neo, è scritto in giapponese ma ne vale comunque la pena.

This book arrived today together with Vibes and Biker Mon. It is an amazing collection of all the models produced by H-D from 1960 to 2010. It's like having 50 years of catalogs in one time all together. Unbelievable! Plus lots of unseen pics and details. A must to have in your collection. Just ask me if you want it. The only problem is that it's all written in Japanese but who cares? It's still worth it every penny.
