THE CREECH - CRAZYOILS GILERA RC600 COBRA

Hahaha mi viene da ridere solo all'idea...

At the end of the Eighties the Italian motorcycle company Gilera produced a model called RC600 Cobra. My friend The Creech owns one. But it has been sitting in the dust for ages. So one day of last September we decided we had to do something with it and this is the result. Actually The Creech pretty did everything by himself. I only helped him with a few suggestions and provided some parts. But let's look at it in detail. We started by taking everything off and at the end we sandblasted the frame and had it powdercoated in metallic matt black. So we did for the forks, wheels and some other details. The frame has been cut and the front end lowered. Then we added an H-D Sportster gas tank, front fender, headlight and seat. The rear fender is a modified Moto Guzzi one. Then we rebuilt the complete wiring system and added mini instruments, LED stoplight and turn signals and replaced the battery with a micro condensator. The bike starts at the second kick! The muffler is a used slash cut taken from an aftermarket catalog that we modified and silenced with the top part of a Triumph Bonneville one. I think that is so cool! Finally we powdercoated the sheet metal parts in a special bubble blue. The result is a new fantastic toy. Not a motard, not a scrambler, we don't know what it is but it roars and spins and we are happy and proud of it.
